2008 Summer Reading List
This summer, all students are encouraged to make the effort to read as much as possible. Turn OFF the television and enter the world of a good book. Books are very portable, so you can read anywhere: on the beach, in the car, safely tucked into the bed as the soft summer rain pours down outside, or in a sleeping bag under the stars in the backyard. When books and reading are a part of your vacation, you will be in for a magical summer experience!

Calling ALL Textbooks...Calling ALL Textbooks!!
WGS is looking for textbooks belonging to the school.
If you or someone you know have found textbooks, please help us by dropping off those books to the front office. We appreciate your help!!
 Summer Camp Information
Thanks to the parents who took part in the Summer Safety Session in April. Below are several of the organizations we showcased that evening that offer summer camp sessions for middle school aged children. If you have questions about any of these camps, please contact the camp directly. We appreciate your efforts to keep your children safe and active throughout the summer!

From the Principal
I take great pride in being the principal of W. G. Sanders Middle School because of the wonderful staff, students and parents. I continue to be amazed with the rich history of traditions that help prepare students for a successful career in high school.
This year we are implementing a wide variety of developmentally appropriate strategies in facilitating the learning for our students. Teachers continue to infuse technology into student lessons, and teachers continue to provide a challenging curriculum for our students.
Stop by our parent and community center to find ways in which you can support our community initiatives. Also, take a look at our mission statement, our beliefs and our action plans. Give us feedback as we continue to monitor and enhance our instructional program.
I look forward to working with all of you. Andrenna Smith
